Marie's Courage and Embrace

In 1985, my sister Heather and I reconnected with our father Steve.

Our first adventure with Steve, Marie and Micheleen was a summer camping trip.

That winter, Marie welcomed us again to their home in Lake Placid where Heather and I were introduced to steamed chestnuts, cross-country skiing and a magnificent Maine Coon cat.

Through the years Marie has embraced us as members of her family with love and courage.

It’s been so wonderful visiting with Steve and Marie and Micheleen from Lake Placid to Colorado to San Antonio.

Marie loved generously, unconditionally.

She laughed easily and often.

She loved sewing, the outdoors, her garden, and her “kiddies” (kitty-cats).

She loved and will be missed greatly by her husband Stephen and daughter Micheleen most of all.
